February Challenge

Welcome to the February Monthly Challenge…. This month the challenge is: “Beads of Courage”

We want to see all sorts of “Beads of Courage” beads…. These could be beads you are making for the NZGBA Beads of Courage exhibition – for those who haven’t registered their intention to submit – you now have until 4 February!!

Or they could be beads that you would like to donate to the Beads of Courage Program – see Beads of Courage for more details.

We want to see fun beads that make the children smile….

The February prize is a fabulous A$50 store gift voucher from Affordable Inspiration. Thank you Kerry!

November Monthly Challenge winner – Shirlee Wilton

Shirlee Wilton’s name was drawn out of the hat for the November NZGBA monthly challenge.

Shirlee has won an amazing lampwork bead created by Lisa-Jane.

The monthly challenge will be on hold over the Christmas/New Year period.

An Ice Cream for Abby

This was a challenge for me, as I don’t do sculptural!

This ice cream is a very special bead as I will be giving it to my daughters friend & class mate (a little 6 year old girl), who was admitted to Chc hospital last week with cancer. She now has to face further surgery + chemo + radio therapy + everything else + there is no cancer clinic in Wellington, so Abby and her family have had to travel down to Christchurch, where they will be staying for a while.

So on this note I am encouraging you all to donate to the beads of courage!!

November Monthly Challenge: Sculptural

Welcome to the November Monthly Challenge…. This month the challenge is: Sculptural

We want to see all sorts of “SCULPTURAL” beads…

The November prize is an amazing lampwork bead created by Lisa-Jane!

Post your bead photos on the NZGBA website – you then get your name entered into the draw to win a prize at the end of the month (drawn randomly out of a hat!).

To give everyone a chance to enter, even if they don’t have much beadmaking time! 1 photo = 1 entry, 2 or more photos = 2 entries max.

NOTE: The challenge is open to NZGBA members ONLY.

Each member will need to start their own thread so they can upload photos. Please make your thread title “November Monthly Challenge – your name”.
