Mark Eliott: A dance of Improvisation and structure

Posted by BorntoBeadnz on August 31, 2010

October 26th-28th

In this workshop, Mark Eliott aims to explore the relationship between spontaneity and structure. He will introduce the participants to a range of techniques and approaches he uses in his own sculptural work. Using clear and coloured borosilicate glass, the projects will include blown vessels and forms from solid glass, many of which are drawn from nature. The choice of projects will be influenced by the interests and skill level of the group. Each exercise will be designed to develop specific skills in blowing and sculpting while serving as a framework for improvisation.
