Wicked pendants made at Annie Rose

Check these out I went up to Annie Rose and they taught me the ins and outs of thick fusing paper. What a blast we had great fun!! We played with the thick fibre paper, it’s a very thick sheet of fibre paper that you cut images or shape from and then slump the glass over or around it. We also created frames that we stacked our glass into and then the glass melts into the shape of the frame. See pics below for examples.

Annie Rose sell the thick fibre paper in 30cm squares at approx $17 per square. You can only use the frame or cutout once same as thin fibre paper.

The trick with the cross was to cut the cross piece into two and lay them next to the vertical strip as opposed to overlapping them which would result in too much glass at the intersection. The heart was used with the thick fibre paper. I created a frame of fibre paper and cut out a heart shape of fibre paper, then is filled the frame around the heart with murrini pieces. I then set a piece of white glass over the whole piece so in reverse it created a heart negative on the white, very cool!
